Dimaggio is one of the most successful Dressage stallions in the UK. Amongst his endless list of achievements is included the highly sought after and almost impossible to obtain title of “2000 World Breeding Champion” He won this on an overall score of 9.5, with a 10 for his trot and an index of 133.39 in his stallion licensing. This is a very prestigious and fought over competition in Europe contested every year by the biggest names in dressage. 2000 - International Shearwater Champion and Prevac Pro Potential Dressage Horse Champion 2003 - Winning Prix St Georges and Inter 1 with over 70%. Dimaggio’s sons are following in his footsteps: 2005 - British Hanoverian Show - Champion 3 year old mare. BWBS Stallion Licensing - Keystone Don Amore - Reserve Champion. Licensed son, Dynamic, in Germany. At the Elite Auction, Vechta his colt foal sold for €33,500 to Ann Kathrin-Linsenhoff, the German dressage team member. And another Dimaggio colt sold for €28,000 to Blue Hors the famous Danish stud, standing Don Shufro and Cavan. 2003 - Champion BWBS stallion - Del Amitri, Champion Sports Horse - Treliver Decanter, Champion Colt - British Hanoverian Show, Champion filly 2 year old and Champion colt two year old - British Dressage Breeding Championship. 2002 - Champion colt, Champion filly and Supreme Champion at the British Hanoverian Show.
The legendary stallion SANDRO Z is his maternal grandsire, there is no denying the valuable influence this stallion has had on the development of modern sports horses worldwide. As a broodmare sire Sandro has also been exceptionally successful: Lasango (Kurt Reinacher), San Serai Funky Town (Björn Nagel), Lausano (René Tebbel), Risandro (Samantha McIntosh), Filias (Arnoldo Bologni), High Class (Royne Zettermann), Cappucino and Santa Fe (Marco Kutscher), Grand Soso (Markus Fuchs), Grand Soso II (Ulrik Kjaer) and High Stepper (Maria Gretzer) – all Grand Prix showjumpers, all out of daughters of SANDRO. He is unique in that he is the only stallion son of the cross of Sacramento Song and Wahnfried – a cross that has also been very successful in producing dams of stallions. The stallions Lavell I and II, Atlantas Z and Campione, as well as international jumping horses, Cathleen (Meredith Beerbaum – then Michaels) and Zigeunerin (Rodrigo Pessoa) all came from that cross. Sandro Z’s dam, Dürte is the full sister of one of the most successful Puissance horses ever – Wabbs. Durte is also the dam of Harvey Smith’s Salvador.
This handsome boy was sold as a yearling. He has now started his career as an eventer, and we believe he is very doing well.
