BEF EVALUATED 2009 HIGH 1ST PREMIUM 3 YEAR OLD LOOSE JUMPING
BALOU DU ROUET, Oldenburg silver medalist of 2005, is one of the best German horses of his age group. Equipped with maximum elasticity in his gaits, he completed an excellent Stallion Performance Test awarded with the top marks of 9.5 and 10.0 for jumping by the ‘foreign’ judges. He has continued his sporting career in supreme style, winning several classes judged on style and ability up to “M level”. He won the final qualification at the German Young Horse Championships with the top score of 9.2 and in the final was one of the four best approved stallions in Germany. BALOU DU ROUET is directly related to the founder of the bloodline “COR DE LA BRYERE” from Holstein through Rantzau. The similarity can be seen in BALOU DU ROUET'S jumping style and ability. His stunning dam Georgia is by the increasingly popular Contender son, Continue. Once again, BALOU DU ROUET emphasises his dominant quality as a producer in type, elegance and movement with numerous foals at many different auctions. His sire BALOUBET DU ROUET, is at the moment one of the most successful jumping stallions on the international stage (individual silver medallist at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, three-times World Cup Champion in a row, winner of many Grand Prix’s), he has an exceptional pedigree, grand sire GALOUBET A is son of the great stallion Almé.

CRUISE ON was rated 15th in the 1999 Genetic Evaluation of Approved Stallions. He stood his first breeding season at Ard Cherrymount Stud in 2000 and covering a full book of mares. CRUISE ON is very similar in looks to his father CRUISING (who needs no introduction), and with both his parents being International showjumpers he offers the best of Irish breeding and performance. He began showjumping as a 5 year old where he went on to qualify for the Dublin Horse Show that year. He showjumped successfully the following year up to grade 'C' level and as a 6 year old he joined the Irish Army Equestrian Team where he soon became grade 'B'. "Probably the best young horse I ever sat on" said Commandant John Ledingham when asked in February 2000 (rider of Kilbaha). Unfortunately CRUISE ON had to retire from the Army Equitation Center due to an injury in the stable having already won on tour with Capt. John Ledingham shortly beforehand. IN CLOVER, also an International showjumper, she was first produced by Paul Darragh (after she had already produced CRUISE ON) and was exported to the USA where she continues a successful career showjumping. IN CLOVER is by the well known and famous sire CLOVER HILL who bred such International horses as Cagney, Flo Jo, Clover Leaf, Skyview, Lahorna Queen etc.

This is an extremely exciting filly, she was presented at the 2008 and 2009 Futurity Evaluations and received high 1st Premiums on both her evaluations, she qualified for the Finals held at Addington in 2008. Babs Du Rouet is now started her show jumping career and is already jumping double clears British Novice and Discovery, she will go far.
