VIEW HER PEDIGREE

NEGRO has been a consistent dressage performer, living up to the expectations set by his sire, FERRO. NEGRO began his career by winning both his 5- and 6-year old Stallion Show competitions in a highly convincing fashion. By the early age of 7, he was winning at Prix St. Georges. Today, NEGRO continues to excel at dressage and has earned impressive scores of over 70% at the Grand Prix level with rider/trainer Anna van Olst.

His sire, OLYMPIC FERRO, has been one of the most successful international dressage stallions in history. With rider Coby Van Baalen, FERRO captured the Team Silver at the 1998 World Equestrian Games, 1999 European Championships, and 2000 Olympics in Sydney. He has also been a prolific breeder and has earned the “Preferant” title for the KWPN.

NEGRO is out of fully proven "Prestatie" stock. His dam Fewrie (keur) is by the successful international dressage stallion Variant and the "keur preferante prestatie sport" mare Mewrie. Mewrie was successful in national showjumping. She is by the international showjumping stallion Gondelier and is out of the "ster preferante prestatie" mare Geerie. The talent for sport and the willingness to work are deeply rooted in Negro's pedigree.

Negro's official foal report from the KWPN noted that his progeny show ample walks and powerful, impressive canters. They hold themselves well in trot and show good balance, elevation, and remarkable self-carriage. To date, Negro has two approved and another licensed sons: Spargo, Tap Dance, and Troy. Spargo (Negro-Damocles-Jasper) was the Champion of his licensing in 2002 and was Champion again in 2003 when he was fully approved. Troy (Negro-Glendale-Radboud) was licensed by the KWPN in 2003 and placed 5th in the Championship ring of newly licensed young stallions.

NEGRO has produced other offspring with notable credentials. His daughter Segunda (Negro-Carthago Z) was given her "Ster" predicate in 2002 and was the winner of her mare approvals. Negro's son "Tyson" (Negro-Belisar) sold to England as a riding horse through the KWPN's Select Sale at Den Bosch, 2003 for 34,000 Euros. Anna van Olst has kept a young son of Negro's "Taikoen" (Negro-Rothschild) as future riding horse.

ELMEVANGS JUTLANTIA is a Graded Danish mare with 2 graded offspring in Denmark, she has competed up to 1.40 show jumping and Prix St. Georges dressage. Her sire DONNAVAN, a successful dressage horse in his own right, is by the Danish Black Stallion DOLOMIT, who is the sire of many successful horses including the Olympic dressage stallion GUINNESS 888. DOLOMIT is also the sire of My Dundee ridden by Paul Hayler. His sire is the Trakehner stallion DONAUWIND, who stood in Germany and Denmark before being exported to the US. He is the sire of the famous Olympic gold medal showjumper Abdullah. He is also the sire of the Grand Prix dressage horse Fabian ridden by Dr Reiner Klimke and the renowned Trakehner stallion Matador amongst others. The dam of ELMEVANGS JUTLANTIA is by the amazing Hanoverian stallion GOLDFINGER, best known as a broodmare sire, being responsible for the dams of several stallions including the well known dual purpose Danish Warmblood stallion Broadstone Landmark. Goldfinger's sire GOTTHARD is one of the best known names in modern sports horse breeding having sired 41 graded sons and he also features in the dam's side of over 120 graded stallions including such famous names as Apricot D, Athlet Z, Fuerst Gotthard, Gold Sky, Landadel, Voltaire, Gardeur and Grannus.

This is a very exciting filly, she has top sports horse breeding and yet she will mature under 15 hands. She has free floating movement and exceptional talent over a fence. At her KWPN foal grading, Carma Negra was the youngest foal presented and became Reserve Champion filly, had she been a little older and a little bigger, the judges commented that she would have been Champion.

She will be a valuable asset to our sports pony breeding program in the future and is expecting her first foal in 2011 by Talponciau Beswick.

A good rider can hear their horse speak to them,  a great rider can hear their horse whisper.
